Question -
Hi, I am installing a Phoenix Digital PD-175 Remote Start Alarm on a 1999 Chevrolet blazer. The alarm and keyless entry work fine, but the remote start has problems. It will work 1 out of 3 times, if that. And if it doesn't fire on the first try it will keep trying until the battery is dead. It has only had a successful start when it worked on the first fire. The alarm has 3 harnesses. I am only going to mention wires related to the remote start. The 7 pin harness has a red wire that is only supposed to have +12 when the car is started. I have it hooked to the alternator wire that corresponds with the 12v. In the car the wire only gets a reading of a little over 8. At the alternator it gets a reading of 12. I know the wire is a good connection because we tested it from the battery instead of the alternator and it read 12v at the battery and inside. On the remote start relay i have the starter wire going to a thin yellow wire. The accessory wire going to a thick orange one. And there are 2 key on (ignition wires on the relays) I have one going to the thick pink wire and the other going to a thin white one. Hope you are able to follow this and help me out. I would be willing to pay you for working advice.
Thanks
Jason
Answer -
You need a GM PASSLOCK II bypass module for this Jason.
You will not be able to remote start without it.
You also should get the wiring chart for this truck
at www.wirewerx.com .
This vehicle is not too hard, but
it does require relays, PASSLOCK bypass module etc...
Get the chart, and you will also get a list
of items needed to make this work in the s10 Blazer.

AnswerYou would go to www.wirewerx.com and go through the
payment process, I will send the chart shortly after receiving payment.
I don't know the passlock system you have.
You will need to contact the people you
bought it from for further support on that.
Have a good day.
