Could a Gear Shifter Cover burn out an ignition solenoid?

It is highly unlikely that a gear shifter cover would cause an ignition solenoid to burn out. Ignition solenoids are typically controlled by a relay or switch, and the gear shifter cover is not a part of this circuit.
