Car Stereos: powered subwoofer installation, rear speakers, level inputs

Hi Justin,
I have a powered subwoofer that I am trying to install in 2010 Mustang. There is a high powered input connection that is supposed to go to the speakers. It consists of Ch 1- Ch 1+, Ch 2- and Ch 2+. Do these get connected to the pos. and neg. of each speaker (the rear speakers in my case) or is there some other configuration?

Hi Chris,

Yes, you've got it exactly right.  Run some speaker wire from those inputs to your actual speakers (or the wires going to your speakers), and just tap into them.  The amplifier will use the signal found on those high level inputs to get its signal.
