Car Stereos: After market stereo, jeep grand cherokee, 2008 jeep grand cherokee

I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee and looking to install an after-market stereo in it. I currently have a Clarion single din but am looking to get a double-din stereo with or without navigation. My question is can I look at a site that can give me step by step directions? This seems a little risky because this stereo has the features like hands-free, sirius radio, bluetooth, and an auxiliary port.

Hi Luis,

The best you can hope for is a video on youtube of someone that has done a likewise conversion/install.

That said, the install is not difficult.

You need to buy the deck you're looking to install, and a harness (or many harnesses, depending on features) to adapt it to the various controls in your vehicle.

Most of the soldering/connecting/whatever can be done in the comfort of your home, and for the most part, is just a case of matching like-coloured wires.

Once you've done that, take the deck out to your car, and simply plug everything in where it goes, and you should be good to go.
