Car Stereos: 2004 OEM Panasonic DVD player, panasonic dvd player, spring mechanism

Question
Player will not play or eject the DVD that's loaded in it.  Get a "Failure to load/eject DVD" message.  I've disassembled unit down to the player and can not see any visible way to eject the DVD.

Hi Marc,

There's usually a spring mechanism on the side you can push out of the way, and then slide your disc out.

But be warned: once you've got your disc out, the unit is likely junk.  If it's returning failure to eject messages, I wouldn't trust it with another disc ever again.
