Car Stereos: Monsoon system problems in my Hyundai Santa Fe, hyundai santa fe, santa fe gls

Good day Scott.  I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS with a Monsoon stereo system (6 disc in dash.  Was standard with my car).  In June of 2010 I went to exchange my CDs.  The player discharged the CDs inside just fine, but after loading the replacement 6, it quit.  It wouldn't load, play, or eject the CDs inside.  I just figured it had gone bye-bye.  In September I tried it just for good measure and it worked just fine.  It worked fine until this morning when I went to load more CDs in it.  It quit on me instantly again.  What on Earth could be causing this??  In my experience, electronics either work or they don't.... I and everyone around me is completely stumped by this.....  Please help!

I would guess the unit is overheating.  It is probably a weak unit, and if your heater is running, it is causing it to overheat even faster.  I dont think there is any cure for the problem, only to use it minimally, or have it replaced.  Hope this helps, Scott
