Car Stereos: am radio reception, kenwood cd, factory radio

I recently had my 2001 Buick LeSebre factory radio replaced with a Kenwood cd,amm radio. I had this done at a shop as it appeared to be difficult on this car. I have very poor or no am reception. The Buick radio was fine. I've installed aftermarket sets before. Is there anything I can do for this?

Dan, The AM receiver does not use the antenna, so if your dash has extra amounts of wiring and metal in it.  It is probably not getting as good of a reception as one would hope.  If you are wanting a good AM reception, you may need to replace the radio with another factory unit.  Or, you may find a better unit searching the web for radios with high quality AM reception.  Hope this helps, Scott
