today i broke the faceplate and the glass behind it on my radio in my 2008 chevy malibu classic and was wondering what would i have to do to fix or replace it?

Unfortunately, your only option will be replacement.

Finding parts to repair it will be near impossible.

I don't like it any more than you do -- too much good stuff goes to waste because of stuff like this.

Your best bet at this point is to buy something aftermarket; unless you can find the unit at a wrecker, it will almost certainly be cheaper and better.
