Car Stereos: 2005 maxima no sound, loud boom, million places

Question
Driving in my 05 maxima speakers made a loud boom and quit working. Checked the fuses in dash and under hood. What could be the problem? Is there a fuse on my amp? If so, where?

It sounds like a wire has gotten a short somewhere.  Of course there are a million places for a short, so troubleshooting could be some problems.  Check any moving joint the wires may go through to see if the wires have worn a bare spot somewhere.  Anyways, it is most definitely in the wiring.  Hope this helps, Scott
