I am installing an amp in my 1995 Ford Taurus and I am having trouble finding a spot to feed the hotwire through the firewall.  I read the answer you gave for a 2002 Taurus and I was curious if the answer is the same or if it is different, if different can you please tell me how I can?

Hi Brandon,

I don't think the 95 Taurus will be the same as the 2002; the Taurus went through a complete re-design for the 96 model year.  Unfortunately, I haven't done enough amps in early Taurus models to have a good idea how to run through the firewall.  I'd have to see one to give you a good answer.  

Generally, your best bet is to determine where the factory wiring runs through the firewall, and see if you can follow it.  There may be a rubber grommet thats large enough to pierce for the amplifier wire.  The place to start looking is under the driver-side dash.
