can you hook a built in dvd monitor in a 2008 chevy avalanch to an after market deck (just want to keep the buil in moniter on ceiling for a video output is it do able?

Dan, I am sure you can wire it to your aftermarket head unit.  If your aftermarket head unit has a video output, your should be able to wire an rca plug to connect the two.  It may take some professional wiring to get it done, but it will work.  Hope this helps, Scott
