can i hook up a spl tv monitor to a boss cd/dvd player .

Hi Jody,

As long as the monitor has a standard type of video input jack--either "component" RCA jacks, or a single 3.5mm A/V jack-- then the monitor and player should work together.  With car audio/video components, you don't usually need to stick with the same brand name for everything; for the most part, the connections are universal.
