I just recently purchased an aftermarket stereo system and I would like to install the system my self. How difficult is it and how labor intensive is it?

Hi Richard,

That depends on about a million different things.  What kind of car you have, what kind of integration hardware it requires, how technically skilled you are, what kind of stereo you bought, etc.

A basic install on a car that doesn't have any special parts or needs would require a little soldering and/or crimping of wires with some heat shrink, and then clip everything together.

Other cars require relays, taps into other wires for various information, integration harnesses, etc.
