i would like to install a new head unit into my car the plug that i have fits into the head unit but the wires have been cut off right before the plug i was wondering what would be the best way to fix it

Hi,

If there's at least 1/2" of wire left on the plug, that's probably enough to solder on some extensions.  If not, then you'd need to obtain a replacement plug; often you can order one directly from the head unit manufacturer.
