Car Stereos: Wiring Question, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I was stupid and did not go the wiring harness route while trying to install my new Panasonic head unit and it seems to me that the wires from the stock unit are like 2:1. Since I will be using butt connectors, I have no idea what to do now. Should i connect them 2:1 or what? Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Dustin,

My suggestion is to put back the factory harness, and go buy an aftermarket connector harness.  It will relieve you of all of your issues.  Otherwise, you'll need to go online, find a colour schematic for your radio, or sit there with a multimeter and a battery to find each speaker connection and then wire them up to the new harness.

This can take HOURS.
