Car Stereos: after market head unit, grand am gt, fitment

i have a 04 grand am gt and want to replace my head unit with something aftermarket, im wondering what size dvd screen i could fit in there??? and ive also heard for a newer gm model car u need an additional cable to make it compatible, if so what cable is that?

Mike, There are a few dvd players with slide out screens that are 7 inches.  They fit in a single DIN slot, so fitment is not an issue.  You will need a model specific wiring adapter to help connect the radio to your car.  I would suggest going to crutchfield.com to find compatible radios and wiring adapters.  Hope this helps, Scott
