Car Stereos: Car stereo intsalation..., customer support department, change songs

I have a VR3 VRVD630 that i installed in my truck.  I know to ground the e-brake wire, but it seams every time i go to put the truck in gear, if locks all the buttons except the power button.  i cant change songs, volume, modes, or anything.  The screen just goes blue and locks up.  i have to turn the truck on and off to reset it.  maybe i messed up the wireing but ive installed it before in another truck with out a hitch.  please help

I haven't personally run into this problem before, but I don't see how it can be caused by a wiring issue.  It really sounds like you have a some sort of defect in the head unit.  Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience with these decks to know whether this is a common problem or not.  I'd suggest contacting their customer support department directly, at 1-800-445-1797.
