Car Stereos: Replacemenr of factory fitted head unit vw passat 2000, vw passat, bus connection

Hello there is there any way i can by-pass the bus connection to the factory fitted stereo on my 2000 vw passat, so as to fit an aftermarket one?

Hi Ben,

As long as you buy a proper adapter, your K-wire shouldn't be an issue.

If you find a pin looped together, look online (google volkswagen k-wire), and see if its your k-wire that's looped back.  If it is.  Cut it, and tape them off and you should be fine.
