Car Stereos: 2001 jeep cherokee sport amplifier, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

Hi! My dad can't seem to find the amplifier in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. According to the manual, it should be underneath the back seat, but it's not. Any advice?

Hi Jennie,

Are you sure your Jeep is equipped with an amplifier?  These were only used with the Infinity sound package; most Cherokee Sports were just equipped with the basic 4-speaker audio system.  I've never seen the Infinity amp placed anywhere except under the rear seat in a Cherokee, so if you're not finding one there then it's likely that the amplifier isn't equipped.  In this case, the speakers are connected directly to the head unit's built-in amplifier.
