Car Stereos: pop in stereo, speaker wires, power wires

I have an aftermarket JVC stereo in my 00 mustang that has performed well. after starting it today, i get a loud "pop" every 3 seconds during all audio listening. it happens while car is running or just on accesories. HELP!

Alex, it sounds like a speaker wire has a short in it.  I would check your drivers side door jam for the speaker wires and make sure they are not worn through somewhere.  It must be a short somewhere.  Start checking speaker wires, then check power wires and grounds.  You should find the problem.  Hope this helps, Scott
