i have a kenwood stereo and it will not read cds it says error 99. please tell me what is wrong.

Raymond,  It sounds like a dirty laser.  Unfortunately, there is not an easy fix for a dirty lens.  It must be taken apart and thoroughly cleaned.  If you remove the stereo, it should cost about $50 at a local electronics repair shop.  Hope this helps, Scott
