Car Stereos: in-dash dvd, pioneer avh, stereo shop

I have a pioneer avh-p5000dvd. I hooked everything up as the installation manual said to but when I play a dvd I get all sound and no picture. What did I do wrong? Functions fine with radio, ipod, and all touch screen options. I jus get a black screen when I play dvds. What should I do?

Tony,  It sounds like there may be a setting that is not set right.  These new radios have tons of settings that need to be adjusted for all the options.  First, I would try another DVD and make sure it is not the one you are using.  Then, I would double check all the settings.  If all the settings have been checked and tested to see what they do, you may have a problem with your unit.  I would have it checked out at a stereo shop.  Hope this helps, Scott
