Car Stereos: car stereo, sound amplification, external amplifier

i have a 05 impala i lost all sound.stereo still seems to be functioning. only thing is the xm 1 and 2 options are not there when i select inputs.

Hi Tim,

My guess would be that there is an external amplifier.  If there is one, check its fuses and connections.

If there isn't, your deck might be failing, and the circuitry that does the sound amplification as well as testing the inputs for XM has failed.
