Car Stereos: vw cd changer, shop time, time hope

I have a 2000 vw bug. I just bought a vw cd changer on ebay. How do I hook it up? I thought I just had to plug in to the trunk but its not working. HELP!

I believe that VW has to reprogram the radio for the cd changer to work.  The job is very simple, and should only cost 1/2 hour shop time, but some shops require 2 hours minimum.  Check around and find a dealer that will just charge for the hook up, and not the extra time.  Hope this helps, Scott
