Car Stereos: Car cd player into a boat, car cd player, ground ignition

Question
I have a car cd player and want to put it in a boat. On the boat there are 4 wires live, ground, left and right speakers. On the car i have live, ground, ignition, antenna, antenna ground, 4 +speakers 4- speakers. how would you wire it up for it to work??

Hi Dominic,

If the boat has only ground and live, you're going to need to wire in a switch or something to prevent the deck from being on even when the boat is off -- unless it's a deck with a removable faceplate, as removing the face plate might be enough to turn it off.

In which case, just wire the accessory & constant to the live wire, and ground to ground.

As for speakers, just hook up the fronts to the boats fronts, and cap off the rears.
