Hi Jerry,

That unit would require some custom work to fit into a 1998 GMC full-size pickup.  The factory radio size is 1.5 DIN, and the FH-P404 is a double-DIN.  It would require cutting of the radio cavity and the front dash plate to make it work.

You can install a 1.5 DIN after-market unit, which exist but are becoming very rare.  Alternately, you could install a single-DIN head unit using a mounting kit. These options would not require altering the factory dash panel or radio cavity.
