Car Stereos: car speaker, boston acoutics, bookshelf speakers

I have a pair of Boston Acoutics 2-way 6" round speakers 4 ohm 25 watt 50 watt peak. I want to make some bookshelf speakers for my home stereo. How should I determine a box/cabinet size and how can I make them 8 ohm speakers.

Hi Paul,

Box size is different for every speaker, but because they're 2 way car speakers, they're probably not dependent on any specific box size.  Whatever fits well will probably be just fine.

As for just 'making' them 8 ohm, it's not that simple.  Your best bet is to just use a home amp that supports 4 ohm, or run the speakers in series on one channel.
