I have a 1997 dodge ram .The factory stereo is a tape deck.I want to keep the tape deck working and add a alpine cd player i already have .Is it possible to have both working in truck.If so can i do it and how? Thanks for your time .Matthew

Hi Matthew,

It is possible, but sketchy.  You will have to find somewhere to mount the aftermarket deck, and then have the two decks share power, ground, speaker leads, etc.  Only one of them will be able to use the antenna, and you'll need to make sure that only one of them is on at any given time (perhaps wire in a relay to ensure that happens, which is beyond the scope of my help).  But basically you need to share the wires between the two.  They both connect to the same ground, and the same power, same speakers, etc.
