Car Stereos: speakers dont work, factory six, factory integration

I HAVE A 1997 FORD EXPLORER, WITH FACTORY SIX DISK CD CHANGER IN THE CONSOLE (ARM REST) THAT QUIT WORKING.  I AM PUTTING A NEW STEREO IN AND I CAN'T GET THE SPEAKERS TO WORK.  I HOOKED THE SPEAKER OUTPUT OF THE NEW STEREO TO AN OLD SPEAKER OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND IT WORKS.  I NEED THE SPEAKER WIRING DIAGRAM.  OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING.

Hi James,

It looks like your system has one of those 'auto set' buttons on the front of the factory deck, which means you need a factory integration harness to make it work.  An example of that product is:
