Car Stereos: Auto sterio of Honda civic 2001 doesnt play, honda civic 2001, honda civic

Hi,

I got my Honda civic 2001 from dealer 2 months back. When I put the CD inside it played for me once, but after that it does nothing when i put the CD inside, i dont see any errors coming, after sometime it ejects the CD out. Please let me know what could be the problem. shall I tri to clean the head?

For what it's worth, if I picked up a car at a dealer 2 months ago, and the stereo stopped working so quickly, I'd be going back to the dealer to yell at somebody. :)

If it's ejecting the CD, it means it's not seeing it as a valid CD.  Either the CD is scratched, or the lens is dirty, or the stereo is busted.

First, try a CD you're sure is nice and clean, and is a legit CD, and not a burned one (just to eliminate those as possibilities).

Then try a lens cleaner.

Beyond that, you might find yourself replacing the deck and/or going back to the dealer.
