Car Stereos: Avalanche door speakers, chevy avalanche, wire cage

I'm trying to figure out how to get the wire cage type  covers off the doors of my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. They dont seem to just pop off at all and I don't know if perhaps I need to remove the whole door panel to access the speakers. Thanks

Hey Justin -

Most likely you need to pull the door panels off.  Most door panels come off very easily.  I'd invest in a tool that removes door panel plugs.  It's kind of like a mini crowbar.  Go to Sears or the like, and ask them to show you their door panel removal tools.  If you need help on how to take a door panel off, let me know.
