BMW Repair: front shocks, spring assemblies, good tools
Questionhow hard to replace front shocks
AnswerHow far to Denver?
Sorry, but you give no clue as to the year or model of the car.
I'll assume it's somewhere in the '90's. If so, it's not too bad, with one catch. I would strongly recommend what I do...... find a shop that will install the new cartridges into the struts if you bring them to them. Then order cartridges/struts on-line, take the strut/spring assemblies off your car, then take them into to have the cartridges replaced. A local place here does it for $20 a piece.....cheap when they use their pro equipment to compress springs, etc.
If you have good jackstands (don't even THINK about doing this with the car on jacks!!!!), and good tools, it's a half day job.
