BMW Repair: 1996 740IL Glove Box, bowden cable, best bet

Question
How do you open the glove box when the locking mechanism and latch have pulled away.  They are still hinged but swing freely.

John you have to try to pull the bowden cable that releases the latch. You can try to release the to bolts hidden under the plastic covers at the bottom of the box to remove the box, but I think fishing for the cable and pulling on it will be your best bet.
