BMW Repair: Fuel / gas access release, locking gas cap, bmw 525i

Question
Where is the fuel tank release switch or button so I can put gas in my 1992 BMW 525i ?  I just bought it off eBay and I can't figure out how to get into the gas !!!  It appears to be locked.

I am not aware of any lock on this model.  My daughter has a 90 525I and I have a 94 525I and neither have any locking mechanism.  We just go back there and open them.  It may be jammed or sprung for some reason.  I would try to use a wedge of some sort covered with a soft cloth (so as not to scratch the car) and see if moves at all.  Other than that I don't know what might work.  Unless there is a special model that I have not seen nor heard of that has a locking gas cap.  I am assuming there is no owner's manual to check with?  Hope this helps.
