BMW Repair: 528i Wont Start, mass air meter, vacuum hose
Question1997 528i stalled on freeway, turns over but won't start. No error codes (did OBDII test). Replaced cam sensor, but still turns over but doesn't start. Any ideas?
AnswerRon, Try squirting a little starting fluid into an intake vacuum hose and then cranking the motor. Check fuel pressure with gauge at fuel rail port. Check all fuses especially fuse 15. If both are good (50psi), Unplug oil level sensor at bottom of oil pan and retry. If no luck then unplug Mass air meter and crank.
