BMW Repair: Rear Passenger Window, torx sockets, 2001 bmw 325i
QuestionI have a 2001 BMW 325i and I was rolling up my windows and all of the sudden the rear passenger window won't move. I can hear the the motor (i guess that's what it is) making noise like it's trying. I think the window got off track b/c I can still move the window up and down manually, and probably the regulator went (which I hope is not the case). I am attempting to take off the rear panel and see if I can see anything out of place. Any input you have would be great. Thanks a lot!
AnswerJordan replace the regulator assembly. Replace the three mounting nuts with updated lock nuts part # 07 14 7 153 450
Regulator part # 51 35 8 212 100. Regulators are prone to failure due to engineering design. Reuse motor. You will need torx sockets. Let me know if you want repair instructions.
