BMW Repair: 1992 bmw 325i convertible a/c -odometer, cold extremes, replacement gears

Question
not getting enough cold air to cool the car, had a charged with refrigerent, etc. blows cool air but does not appear to be enough to cool the car-

any ideas ---

also, odometer stopped working saturday when i reset the trip to zero?

Tim,
 I forgot to answer the part about the odometer.

 The gears in the odo's get really fragile/brittle after years of heat and cold extremes that commonly occur inside a car.  

 You can check out www.odometergears.com, and they have replacement gears for your odometer.  Its really not hard to replace them either.
