BMW Repair: passenger side not locking and interior lights, switch problem, interior light
QuestionHi,
I recently bought a second hand BMW 1991 318i model with automatic transmission.
I'm having a problem with the central locking system, the passsenger door doesn't lock and unlock at all via the central locking system through the driver's main door. I have tried replacing the central locking module and still the same problem.
The other problem is the interior light. It is intermittently switching ON while its positioned to 2(middle) while I'm driving. I dont know if its door contact switch problem...or is this because the passenger door locking system is not working right?
Please help me.
Regards,
Edgar
AnswerEdgar,
the central locking systems are always a pain in the neck, they are notorious for problems on these cars. Unfortunately they are usually from all different problems too. You will have to check each door and see which one is causing the malfunction
The light switch is probably faulty, you can get one on Ebay pretty cheap.
Good luck,
Josh
