BMW Repair: 325i replacement battery, vent kit, 325i bmw

I have a 2001 manual 325i bmw.  The original battery just died, do i need to get another bmw battery or can i get any kind?

You can get any battery, however their are a few things to consdider:
-Cranking amperage must be the same
-Dementions of battery must be the same (will not mount to body if it's the wrong size)
-Vent hookup adaptibility;
We use interstate battery's with the BMW vent kit adapter, although this is a good replacement, OEM is always better(though more expensive).
