BMW Repair: check engine light, 740il, scanner

Hi My check engine light stays on howver I have not noticed anything wrong with the car.....It has been on for over a year.... what could that be?

Hey there, there could be several things wrong with your car that could make the check engine light come on.  It could be running a little rich, a little lean, it could be a sensor going bad, it could be your car is in need of some maintenance.  you should have it pluged up to a scanner and check to see what code that light gives you.
