BMW Repair: Mirrors, rivots, auto tinting

How do I remove the glass from my side view mirrors -
They are tarnished and need to be replaced
Also, can the window regulator be replaced and how
When i took the door panel off it looked like the regulator was held in place by rivots

I believe the glass in your mirrors are glued on.  I've never changed them before but i know what you mean.  Mine has some water spots on them that won't come out and i think it has something to do with that auto tinting deal.
As far as your window regulator, you have to drill out the rivots to replace it and then re-rivot the new one back into place...not fun..but it's not hard to do either.
