BMW Repair: camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, intake runners

my check engine light is on on my 97 bmw 328i L6 i had it checked at two different places and they said it was the camshaft sensor i have located the sensor i would like to replace it myself can you walk me through it

it is kind of difficult because you need small hands. 1st. remove the sensor from the engine and follow the wire under the intake runners. ( if you remove the oil filter cap, it will be easier) disconnect the connector but be sure it is the cam sensor and not the crankshaft sensor as they are next to each other. connect the new sensor and install it with a new o-ring. you will need to bring it to a dealer to reset the light
