BMW Repair: ABS with ASC fault light, paul sheehy, lt ft

99 528 (Production date 10/98) both ABS & "ASC off" fault lights come on. Code reads Lt Ft speed sensor. Tried cleaning, swapped left sensor w/ right sensor. Code still shows left front speed sensor. Any sugggestions? 90K miles  Well maintained car.   Thanks. Paul Sheehy

check the wiring to the sensor. is it broken or is the insulation worn? alsom make sure the left front sensor is not connected to the connector for the brake pad wear sensor. the brake wear sensor connecters are black and the abs sensor connecters are gray.
