GMC Repair: 88 GMC Safari wont start, gmc safari, gmc

My 88 GMC Safari would not start. Checked battery and it has a good charge all accesories work but when I turn the key nothing no noise. Is it the starter I have located the starter under the passenger side door and gave it a few taps checked wiring everything seems fine.

I would try to check the starter for power first. Use a test lamp and put it on the little wire at the starter and see if it gets power when you try to start the engine. If it is getting power than it is a bad starter, if it not getting power you may have a bad ignition switch. My first guess would be a starter though.
