GMC Repair: starting, gmc safari, safari van

Question
The motor turns over but wount start right a way,
I replaced the gas pump last year and you can hear it running,also new cap & rotter, plug wires,
gas fillter,& egnition mod.?

94,GMC Safari Van V-6 Vortech motor

once it is started it runs well.

can you help me?

The possibilities are endless. The FIRST thing you need to determine is, If it is a FUEL or IGNITION fault.

Without actually seeing the vehicle and doing some simple diagnostics, There are a hundred reasons for whu it is hard to start.

Try this and let me know:

1. Do NOT attempt to start the engine during this test
  Turn the key to the "ON" position and back to the "OFF"
  position 3 times and then see if it starts quicker.
