Alfa Romeo Repair: Alfa 166, alfa 166, electronic screen

Dear Mr Sokol,

I have an Alfa 166 with the ICS module, and one day the lcd screen
stopped working!
The ICS itself is fully functional, it is only that I can not see
anything on the screen.
Do I have to change the whole ICS console?

Quite often, when an electronic screen goes blank, undoing the connections and spraying carefully with an electronic contact cleaner then reconnecting will restore the screen.  When doing this disconnect the negative lead at the battery first...
While the module is out, look for the reset code on the unit itself...
