American Motors: 1994 buick lesabre want start, fuel air mixture, buick lesabre
Questioni have a 1994 buick lesabre and i just bought a new starter and i have a fully charged battery.the starter and the engine turns over but it is not catching any fire what ekse can be wrong
AnswerI do not have experience with Buicks. My category is vehicles manufactured by American Motors Corporation. However, basically speaking, you need only 3 things to get an engine running. 1) Fuel/Air mixture to the cylinder 2) Compression of the mixture 3) Spark to ignite the mixture.
If you don't have a spark, it could be a number of things such as ignition coil, ignition module or engine computer, or a sensor that provides information to the computer.Your plug wires could be breaking down. Your spark plugs could be fouled. If you don't have fuel, it could be the fuel pump, a restricted fuel filter, or engine computer. I would suggest finding a technician to help out on this one.
Best of luck.
