American Motors: 91 pontiac grand am, pontiac grand am, american motors corporation

Tonight on my way home from work my  91 grand am started to shutter as i accelerated and didnt seem to have very much power. . .someone told me it may be the fuel filter. . .can you tell me what it might be. . .the engine has 164K on it and i just in stalled new spark plugs. thanks for any help.

I am sorry, but my expertise lies with vehicles manufactured by American Motors Corporation such as the Pacer, Rambler, Matador, Gremlin, etc. I do not have any experience with Pontiacs, especially the newer ones with computer control engine systems. Might I recommend directing your question to the Pontiac or other GM expert.
