Audio Systems: Harman Kardon avr wireless to projector, harman kardon avr, vga to component
QuestionHi Wayne,
Thanks for the info you have provided about joining my Harman Kardon 2600 avr to my acer 1161x projector. I did some more testing with a composite cable through my avr to the projector and than from my computer to my projector via VGA. The VGA is far better picture quality. So i am at the point on either just using VGA cable with a RGB component converter cable for the avr, or a reasonable priced VGA to VGA (or RGB) wireless. I think i may have found what i think is a VGA to VGA wireless at a reasonable price. Can you take a look and let me know if you think it could do the job? Its at -

One last question. After you mentioned using the 'component out' on the avr and using a converter cable to VGA, i went shopping. Unfortunately, i haven't been able to find one in Malaysia (I will have to buy one from the US).I than did a little for research and noticed someone said that it was difficult to convert VGA to RGB component. You seem to think that its compatible. Can you shed some more light on the matter and if you could recommend a cable brand to convert it, that would be great.
Thanks again
Peter
AnswerFrom the link you sent, it seems to be the right item.
As far as VGA to Component video - I wasn't speaking of converting the signal as much as I was taking about the possibility of the VGA port outputting RGB. This is a device function - not a cabling function, so if the device does not offer that feature, there's no cable in the world that will make it work.
