02 Express with a standard Am/Fm radio. I want to add a factory 6 cd changer radio. My van does not have the UC6 code or the UC1 code. The 6 cd changer was available in this year. The part # for the 6 CD radio is 15195858 or 15024589. I had 2 dealers tell me it would work and 2 that said no it will not.

I would like to know before I buy this radio.

Ernesto R on Allexperts is a better person to answer this as he has hands on experience with these installations.  However, you can go to either/or Crutchfield.com or oemautosound.com for further information about the addition of a changer.

From above it looks like the cost is around $240 but you really should call them or Crutchfield to verify the compatibility even though you might purchase the changer elsewhere!

And, have you considered not using a changer but an iPod or MP3 adaptor?  They are more practical if you use such devices as they store many more tunes and are easy to use.
